As a mother of three, Valerie McMurray became increasingly aware of the harmful ingredients in sunscreens - parabens, oxybenzone, retinyl palmitate, to name but a few. She was faced with two choices: either accept the chemicals or succumb to white, chalky residues on the skin. Refusing to accept either option, she decided to develop something better.
